Our vehicle had 2 new Uniroyal Tiger Paws with two Michelins when purchased in 2012. The Uniroyals now have nearly 50k miles on them and are in need of replacement. Have been very pleased with wear and traction. There have been times, in cool weather when tire would lose air due to losing its rim seal but guess that can happen with any tire. The Uniroyals outlasted the Michelins yet I still love Michelin tires. For the money, Uniroyal is a better buy. Am shopping tires now and am going to replace with an entire set of four this time of tires that match. The key in longer tire life is (a) Proper rotation. (b) Maintaining proper tire pressure and (c) Proper suspension and alignment maintenance. Without proper care & maintenance in all those areas, there is NO tire that'll give you your money's worth. At this point, it is a toss up on whether I'll buy Michelin or another set of Uniroyal Tiger Paws. Time, price and service will probably be the deciding factors.
These tires I bought back on 06/24/15. These tires have not let me down since purchase after 2 years and a little over 25K they still have a lot of tread and are very cheap. The key is with the rotation I believe I have these tires rotated every oil change so they wear evenly. That being said I have started noticing some noise from the tires but I am attributing this to the wear of the tires and the price they still hold air well and have not been too bad in winter. I have been able to get out and drive on the snowy roads during appointments that being said though snow performance especially deep snow is a little lackluster. I am attributing the snow traction to the price. I have never gotten stuck with these tires I slid into a snowbank one night because there was a lot of snow the snow was up over my hood and I was able to rock it out of the snow bank. For deep snow you will probably want to check on a winter tire for any other weather these tires are solid cornering in dry and wet is stable. In wet conditions there is a tiny hint of hydroplaning but overall these tires do and adequete job of all season driving here's to many more tires like this one my overall rating with everything taken into account summer 5/5 fall/rain 4/5 Winter light snow 4/5 deep snow 3/5 Oh FYI my car is FWD most people in my neck of the woods do Snows or AWD is really popular near me.
Went to purchase a set on Continental Pure contacts to replace the set of Goodyear comfort treads that were cracking after 5 yrs and still had over 70% of tread life left. I must also add that I kept them balanced and rotated regularly. I went to get the continental pure contact tires but they were out of stock and had to be ordered online, I didn't feel like making a second trip so the sales person told me about the Uniroyal Tiger Paw touring tire. They said they were a good smooth riding tire and they were made by Michelin but half the price. I was hesitant because I've never heard of Uniroyal but for the price I couldn't help but give them a try. I must say I felt the difference in the ride almost immediately....nice smooth ride, quiet for the most part and they take the bumps much better than the Goodyears and the original Michelins that came on the car. I'm satisfied thus far and will comment again once I've had them on for awhile and tested the different weather condition....I will say I didn't experience any tire spin in the rain so far like I did with the previous tires so that's a good sign.
Replaced touring Firestone tires with these Uniroyal touring tires. What a difference! So much quieter Great grip and feel for the road. We'll see about durability, but cost and quality they are great. It doesn't snow here
I DO NOT RECOMMEND buying UNIROYAL TIRES! I purchased a new set in June 2016 and have roughly 10,000 miles on them. I was on the freeway and had a blowout on the sidewall of the tire. I changed it and took it to the shop and they informed me they had to contact their tire rep. I was informed that the tire would only be covered 50%!!! What a JOKE as the tire was clearly DEFECTIVE... I don't blame the shop. I will NEVER BUY another UNIROYAL TIRE ever again...
I Bought these tires in June 2016 and have approx 9-10000 miles on them. I was on the traveling on the freeway and had a blowout! The sidewall blew out... I changed the tire and took it to the dealer and they informed me that they had to contact their Uniroyal rep. Uniroyal agreed to cover 50% of the tire. I feel CHEATED as the this was clearly a defective tire and I had to pay 50% of the tire. UNIROYAL is a joke, I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING THEIR TIRES.
28,000 mile update-still a fantastic tire. still smooth, quiet and predictable. snow traction is outstanding. barely any visible wear. nice looking sidewall, look great cleaned up. not for performance driving, but neither is my Buick. would buy again in a heartbeat. exceptional value.
Good for snow. When more worn, will use them for summer. Most tire makers are not making big enough lugs for snow anymore. Why? Engineers are crazy.
I had two of the four tires fail before 30,000 miles.
I've put almost 100,000 miles on my set of uniroyal tires, I purchased 8 years ago. The longest lasting tires I ever purchased.
Great set of tires! Very affordable, superior traction, never a fear of wet weather driving. quiet and ride much better than the "Good-for-a-Year"s they replaced. 6000 miles of confidence on this set so far. Highly recommended, will update in the snow season, but I suspect they will be great with the deep tread. BUY THESE TIRES!
We have these tires on my 2012 Kia soul and my wife's 2007 Malibu. Excellent wet, dry, and snow traction. Very pleased with handling on the expressway. The tires seem to last very well too. They are much better than the OEM tires on both of these cars. Only one minor complaint is some tire noise . . . but not bad. Will be buying a set for my daughter's car soon.
One of the best tires for the money.
A fine tire. Put 86,000 miles on them, could have easily made another 10,000 but replaced in advance of winter. Rotates every 8,000, balance every 16,000. Prior comments about dry-rot are a mystery, as mine gave me 10 years and one month of service. Car was garaged, so no direct sunlight except when driving, but dry-rot in two years or less? Aggressive tire salesmen is my guess.
Great tires. Will definitely buy again.
Really good, quiet and smooth rolling tires--beyond the great price good. I think I like them so much because they represent a great value.
Love these tires.
Great tire and great price. I will be getting them when I need more someday.
I have these tires on my car now, 70,000 miles. Buying another set soon. Love them :)
I managed up to 90k miles per set. Excellent tire. I've had 3 sets.
Big difference from my old tires. Got them just in time for the blizzard of 2015. Feeling safe on the roads!
New set only lasted 4 years. Still had tread but had to replace due to dry rot.
Bought new set. Did not last mileage warranty and dry rotted after a year and a half.
It has a quiet ride at highway speeds. This is my first set of Uniroyal tires, and I am not disappointed in any way.
Great tire; always use Tiger Paws. Noticeable difference in ride quality and noise reduction since having them installed.
Replaced the factory original tires and my wife noticed right away the improvement in handling.
Tires provide a great balance of performance, ride quality, and noise.
These tires made me fall in love with my Camry all over again. It is so quiet and rides so nice, it's like a new car. I would recommend to friends or family.
Great price for very good tires.
These are the second set of Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires I have purchased and I am extremely happy with them. I look forward to future purchases for my other vehicles.
Great.....that's all I have to say.
I have bought 2 sets of these tires for my car. They last forever and are great tires. Very durable, excellent traction in rain and snow.
Very good tire for the money. Unless you push your vehicle hard or go to the race track, you will like these tires.
Great all around tire, would highly recommend. I have had them for a few years now, and have not once been disappointed in their performance.
Price wont make you faint. Steers smooth. Works for me.
A very good tire for the money. Would definitely consider buying again when the time comes. Rides smooth and offers great traction.
Excellent tire.
Just bought the tires and the ride is so much smoother. I forgot how nice it is to stop quickly. So far, so good!!
Had the tires installed a couple weeks ago. Very satisfied with tires at this point. Very quiet and smooth. Would recommend.
Great tires at half the price of others.
Would never buy this tire again, had it on the front of the car and it would push straight around corners when it was wet or just cold! I switched to the back and it almost caused a fishtail a few times on corners in rain. Be careful if you buy, please.
Great tire until 40-50,000 miles. Then issues with cracking by tread and sidewalls.
These tires are outstanding, a 100% improvement over the BF Goodrich set they have replaced. My 25 year old Mustang feels young again! Nice road huggers, and exceptional in the rain. They "feel like" Michelin's. Highly recommended. Sometimes the most expensive tire for your vehicle is NOT the best tire for your vehicle. Do your research before you buy, and you may be pleasantly surprised!
Good for all weather tires, but not good in snow and ice.
Excellent traction on wet roads! Quiet ride.
Great tires. I had to put these on my new car because tires that came with the car are terrible. I need good quality tires, especially for this bad winter driving so I don't slide all over the road and can stop safely.
The best I found for price and performance with road hazard.
Very quiet, smooth, and soft ride. I have 65,000 on my set and they are still in good shape. My Caddy is a heavy car with 300 HP and I still average over 22 mpg with these tires. If they were a little better in snow, they would be perfect.
Compared to the Eagles that were on this vehicle as stock, they are blowing them away. Better mileage, better wearing, better handling and ride noise. Great set of tires. Drove to AB on these with no worries at all. Resisted rain and high temps and dealt with road conditions that varied hourly without any need to top up air for over 3000 kms. Very satisfied.
These are great tires especially being American made and the price is great. The problem is that they don't last! Only about 20,000 miles. We rotated every 5000 miles. Very disappointed!
Good selection; good value
Have purchased the Tiger Paw in the past, liked the price, the mileage, and the ride. I purchased them again when it came time to buy tires again.
Best tires I have ever purchased. Got 80,000 miles and they were great all the time.
Excellent tires! Just went through the first set after 65,000 mi and am going to buy another set tomorrow. Live out in the country and I commute 32 miles each way for work. Fantastic tires in the snow, have NEVER gotten stuck. Highly recommended!
We've had this tires on our car for 48,000 miles and we're just replacing them now, they are a long lasting tire for the money.
